From Potluck to Peptides: Why I’m Talking About This Now

I didn’t expect to be talking about amino acids over mashed potatoes. But that’s exactly what happened last weekend at a church potluck.

A friend leaned in and asked, "Can you help with brain fog and constant tiredness?”, she knew my brother had suffered a stroke and I was always looking for new options to deeply restore stroke survivors, and she was glad she asked. I told her about what I've done for so many clients around the world and about this new partnership I was embarking on to help many more people.

Why This Matters (And What It Has to Do with Hypnosis)

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that my heart is in helping people reclaim clarity, calm, and confidence. For years, I’ve used hypnotherapy to help clients overcome:

Memory struggles

Emotional burnout

Brain fog

Crippling fatigue

The aftermath of trauma

And it works—beautifully. But as I sat with clients, especially those recovering from illness, trauma, or long-term stress, I kept hearing something that stayed with me:

“I want to feel like myself again, but my body won’t keep up.”

That’s when I started learning about peptides.

So… What Are Peptides? (The Gentle 101)

Peptides are tiny chains of amino acids—think of them as little messengers that tell your body what to do. Some help you sleep. Some support memory and focus. Others reduce inflammation or help your body repair from stress and injury.

They’re already inside you. This isn’t adding something unnatural—it’s about giving your body a reminder of what it already knows how to do.

What Happens When the Signals Slow Down?

Your cells are like skilled workers. They’re constantly managing energy, repair, digestion, focus, and hundreds of other processes.

But they don’t always know what to prioritize. That’s where peptides come in—like tiny sticky notes that say, “Do this next.”

When peptide signaling slows down (which happens with age, trauma, stress, or poor sleep), your cells start to:

  • Miss cues

  • Delay repair

  • Stay in stress mode

  • Lose their hormonal rhythm

And that’s when you feel it: the fatigue, the fog, the forgetfulness, the anxiety that doesn’t seem to lift.

You’re not broken. You’re overextended. And your body’s internal communication system might just need a second wind.

That’s where peptides come in—reminding your cells of their original instructions, gently and naturally.

Where Do Peptides Come From? Are They Natural?

Yes. Peptides and amino acids are everywhere in nature. Your body makes them. But you can also get them through food and natural sources like:

  • Eggs, meat, and fish

  • Bone broth

  • Collagen-rich foods

  • Seaweed and spirulina

  • Breast milk (which is rich in immune-supportive peptides)

  • Even bee venom and mushrooms contain bioactive peptides used in healing

The peptides used in therapy are often bioidentical—designed to match the ones your body would make if it had the time, energy, and support.

Why I’m Offering Peptide Access to My Clients

Because not everyone just needs to “think better.”Some people need to sleep deeper. To heal faster. To get their brain online again before they can even begin the deep inner work.

Hypnosis helps the subconscious, the soul, the stories we carry.

Peptides support the body. The brain. The hormones. The recovery that happens in the background while we’re raising kids, showing up at work, or trying to feel normal again.

So no, I’m not selling supplements or trying to replace the mind’s ability to recover.

I’m expanding what support can look like.

What I’m Offering (And What I’m Not)

I’ve partnered with a physician-guided network that provides:

  • 24/7 urgent and primary care (by video, no surprise bills)

  • Access to prescriptions and labs

  • And yes—peptide therapy for things like energy, metabolism, mental clarity, and recovery

I’m not diagnosing. I’m not prescribing. I’m simply opening a door for those who’ve been told “everything looks fine” but know something’s off.

If You’re Curious, You’re Not Alone

If you’ve felt:

  • Tired all the time

  • Forgetful or foggy

  • Like your hormones or sleep are just off

  • Or like your body just hasn’t caught up with your spirit…

Let’s talk.

Whether you want a hypnosis session, information about peptides, or just someone to explain things without judgment—I’m here.

This is still Hypnosis Haven, but the haven has grown, and you can learn more about the service through this Doctor's network, you can visit PortofResilience.com

And sometimes, support looks like a story at a potluck… and a new path you didn’t know was possible.
